Christmas is more
than a sleigh bells ring,
Christmas is more
than the carols we sing.
Christmas is a time
for family and friends,
to celebrate and gather
before the year ends.
A time for reflection
at all the year has brought,
for those less fortunate
to be in our thoughts.
A time to be thankful
for the lives we are living,
for the love of our family
and the gifts we are giving.
For though it is pleasant
to receive a box tied with a bow,
the most blessed gift of all
is giving love to those we know.
So, this Christmas my wish
for all both far and near,
is may the precious gift of love
be yours this and every year.
